{"id":2990,"date":"2017-04-12T12:49:40","date_gmt":"2017-04-12T16:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ycdsb.ca\/?page_id=2990"},"modified":"2025-03-05T13:00:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T18:00:24","slug":"community-use-of-schools","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ycdsb.ca\/about\/departments\/plant-accommodation-services\/community-use-of-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Use of Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-lg-12\" style=\"margin: 0% 0% 0% 0%; padding: 5% 0% 0% 0%;\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-6 col-lg-8\">\n<h4 style=\"font-family: ycdsb_black_font; color: darkblue; line-height: 120%;\">To submit a permit application please click here:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-6 col-lg-4\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"maxbutton-32 maxbutton maxbutton-request-a-permit\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Request a Permit\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ycdsb.ebasefm.com\/rentals\/welcome\"><span class='mb-text'>Request a Permit<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 \" style=\"padding-top: 5%;\">\n<p>The Βι¶ΉΣ³»­ (Βι¶ΉΣ³»­) Community Use of Schools permit application process for the 2025-2026 school year will take place in the month of April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>For the 2025-2026 permit year, permit applications will be accepted on a staggered approach based on the classification of the organization as outlined below:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"standard_p_01\">\n<li>Tuesday April 1, 2025 @ 11:00 am &#8211; Classification A, B, and D<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday April 8, 2025 @ 11:00 am &#8211; Classification D-1, D-2, and D-3<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday April 15, 2025 @ 11:00 am &#8211; Classification E and F<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Category D breakdown<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"standard_p_01\">\n<li>D &#8211; Youth Groups &#8211; Guides, Scouts , Cadets<\/li>\n<li>D1 &#8211; Youth Sports (18) Activities &#8211; non-profit<\/li>\n<li>D2 &#8211; Cultural classes<\/li>\n<li>D3 &#8211; Adult Sports (19+) Activities &#8211; non-profit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 \" style=\"padding-top: 5%;\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 \" style=\"background-color: #d9edf7; border-radius: 5px; padding: 15px;\">\n<p class=\"admission_note_01\"><span class=\"admission_note_02\">Important Notes<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0px; margin: 0px;\"><strong>Permits will begin Sept 15, 2025 and end by June 12, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each permit application must be for one day of the week and one time slot only. The application can be for a single use or weekly use but must be for the same day of the week (ie: Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)<\/p>\n<p>Weekday permit applications must be for one time slot (6:00 pm to 8:00 pm or 8:15 pm to 10:15 pm).<\/p>\n<p>Please note that if one application has more than one day selected, the permit application will be denied.<\/p>\n<p>Permit applications will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis. In an effort to provide fair access and share the school space some organizations may be limited to the number of gyms. Every effort will be made to accommodate all groups.<\/p>\n<p>Permits are not transferable and under no circumstances shall the permit holder sublet the use of a facility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-12 col-md-12 col-lg-12 \" style=\"padding-top: 5%;\">\n<h5 class=\"standard_h5_01\">School Break Permits<\/h5>\n<p>School break permit applications can only be submitted by selecting one of the applicable permit types:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"standard_p_01\">\n<li>School break \u2013 non profit OR<\/li>\n<li>School break \u2013 profit.<\/li>\n<li>School break permits can operate from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Custodial overtime may be applicable after 3:00 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Note:<\/b> Permit applications for summer programs must be submitted prior to mid-May.
